Blinc Tubing Mascara: What It Is and Why It's Different

What Is Tubing Mascara?

Standard mascara coats your lashes with a pigmented formula that sits on the surface - and smudges, flakes, and transfers throughout the day as oils from your skin break it down.

Tubing mascara works differently. Instead of coating, it wraps each individual lash in a tiny polymer "tube." Those tubes bond directly to the lash, don't transfer, and don't smudge - not because they're waterproof in the traditional sense, but because they aren't oil-soluble in the first place. They come off cleanly at the end of the day with warm water and gentle pressure, sliding off the lash in intact little tubes.

How Blinc's TUBING Technology Works

Blinc invented the category. Their patented TUBING formula creates water-resistant polymer tubes around each lash from the moment it makes contact. The result:

  • No smudging or transferring under the eye throughout the day
  • No flaking
  • No raccoon eyes in humidity, sweat, or rain
  • Removes completely with warm water - no makeup remover or harsh rubbing required

The tubes come off as small cylinder-shaped pieces in your fingers when you slide them off with warm water - which looks unusual the first time you see it, but confirms the technology is working exactly as designed.

Who Is It For?

Blinc mascara works especially well for:

  • Contact lens wearers - no flaking onto lenses
  • Sensitive eyes - clean, vegan formula without harsh irritants
  • Anyone with oily skin or lids - standard mascara breaks down faster on oily skin; tubing doesn't
  • Hot or humid climates - Phoenix summers and swimming pools are no match for tubing
  • People who rub their eyes - still won't smudge
  • Post-procedure or skin-sensitive people - easy, non-irritating removal

The Blinc Mascara Line at Cleanse

[Blinc Original Tubing Mascara](https://cleansefaceandbody.com/products/blinc-original-tubing-mascara) - $26

The formula that started the tubing mascara category. Natural-looking definition and length with a clean, buildable formula. Best for everyday wear and first-time tubing mascara users.

[Blinc Amplified Tubing Mascara](https://cleansefaceandbody.com/products/blinc-amplified-tubing-mascara) - $26

More drama than the Original. The Amplified formula gives more visible length and separation without going full-volume. A good middle ground between natural and bold.

[Blinc UltraVolume Tubing Mascara](https://cleansefaceandbody.com/products/blinc-ultravolume-tubing-mascara) - $26

The most dramatic formula in the line. Designed for maximum volume, fullness, and a bold lash look - still with all the same smudge-proof, flake-free benefits. Best for evenings, events, and anyone who wants their lashes to make a statement.

[Blinc Lash Extension Tubing Mascara](https://cleansefaceandbody.com/products/blinc-lash-extension-tubing-mascara) - $26

Creates a lash extension effect - length and separation without heaviness or clumping. Ideal for people who want the look of extensions without the maintenance, cost, or risk of glue damage to natural lashes.

How to Remove Blinc Mascara

This is the part that surprises most people the first time.

  1. Wet your fingertips with warm water.
  2. Gently press your fingertips against your closed lids and lashes.
  3. Slide downward - the tubes slide off intact.
  4. Rinse with water.

No makeup remover, no cotton pads, no rubbing. The tubes come off cleanly without pulling at the lashes or irritating the eye area. For anyone used to scrubbing off waterproof mascara, this is a significant upgrade.

Do You Need the Lash Primer?

The Blinc Black Lash Primer ($24) adds a base layer before the mascara that boosts volume, conditions the lash, and helps the tubing formula grip more effectively. It's not required, but it noticeably amplifies results - especially for sparse or short lashes. Apply one coat of primer, let it set for 30 seconds, then apply your mascara over the top.
